متن کاملPhotochromic diarylethene for two-photon 3D optical storage
We had accomplished recording and readout of bit patterns by two-photon 3D optical storage technology using a new photochromic diarylethene, 1,2-bis(2-methyl-5-methylene-n-butylamido-thien-3-yl) perfluorocyclopentene (BMMBTP), as memory medium. The photochromic reaction, both in solution and in poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) amorphous film, and fluorescence property of BMMBTP were investigate...
متن کاملNondestructive Readout Scheme for Thin Film Memories
If a magnetic bit in a thin film memory array is driven in the hard direction, the changing flux produces eddy currents in the surrounding conducting surfaces. It has been pointed out by Pohm and others that the eddy field produced by these currents always tends to restore the bit magnetization to its original direction. If this eddy field were strong enough at the end of the word drive pulse, ...
متن کاملVacuum ultraviolet excitation luminescence spectroscopy of few-layered MoS2.
We report on vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) excited photoluminescence (PL) spectra emitted from a chemical vapor deposited MoS2 few-layered film. The excitation spectrum was recorded by monitoring intensities of PL spectra at ~1.9 eV. A strong wide excitation band peaking at 7 eV was found in the excitation. The PL excitation band is most intensive at liquid helium temperature and completely quenched...
متن کاملNondestructive readout for a superconducting flux qubit.
We present a new readout method for a superconducting flux qubit, based on the measurement of the Josephson inductance of a superconducting quantum interference device that is inductively coupled to the qubit. The intrinsic flux detection efficiency and backaction are suitable for a fast and nondestructive determination of the quantum state of the qubit, as needed for readout of multiple qubits...
